Customization

Background:

It has default background picture but you can easily change it with your background image. A variable is declared for background customization to make it easy to make changes. If you want to change your default background picture go to Blogger -> Theme -> Customize. You will see content like below:

Step 1

On Blogger Theme Designer Page you need to select the background in the left menu.

Step 2

and click on Remove image it will give you a warning popup that is you sure to remove picture you must agree with that it will remove default background and it will blank.

Step 3

Now to upload new background you have to click on none written there. It will give you a popup on which you have two options either you upload your own image or you can choose one from blogger gallery.

Step 4

For a tutorial purpose, I have selected upload image and I have chosen my background image. At last, you need to click on Apply To Blog button in the upright corner to apply changes.

Theme Color:

To make theme color easy to change I have used variable declaration. To change theme color some steps are same as above you have to go to your Blogger -> Theme -> Customize and you will be redirected to blogger theme designer.

Now you have to select Adjust Widths option there (I don’t know why its label shows Adjust Widths but still it will give you access to element color). In element tab you will find scheme color selector, you can use Hex code of any color you want to use (In case you don’t know to deal with Hex code of colors here is link where you can find different colors with their Hex codes) or you can choose your favorite color using the RGB color selector.

Transitive Theme Color Step 1

Social links:

For changing social links you need to edit it using Edit HTML option instead of customizing option in blogger theme tab. It will require very basic knowledge of programming but don’t worry if you don’t know we will walk through it. First of all, as usual, you need to Login into Blogger and go to Theme -> Edit HTML. It will redirect you to its HTML Editor, you will see something like in the picture below:

Transitive Social Links Step 1

You have to scroll to the bottom or look for following code:

<div class='social-icons'>
<ul>
<li>
<a href='#'><i aria-hidden='true' class='fa fa-facebook'/></a>
</li>
<li>
<a href='#'><i aria-hidden='true' class='fa fa-twitter'/></a>
</li>
<li>
<a href='#'><i aria-hidden='true' class='fa fa-google-plus'/></a>
</li>
</ul>
<div class='clear'/>
</div>

Here you need to replace ‘#’ sign with your social links, For example:

<a href='http://facebook.com/ayyanaleeblog'><i aria-hidden='true' class='fa fa-facebook'/></a>

You can change # with your respective social link.

Count Down Timer:

To change the countdown timing you need to go to Edit HTML in your Theme option tab. You need to find following code there mostly you will find it at the bottom of template code where body tag ends.

$(document).ready(function(){
/* ---- Countdown timer ---- */
$('#counter').countdown({
timestamp : (new Date()).getTime() + 08*10*60*60*1000 /* Miliseconds */
});
/* ---- Animations ---- */
$('#links a').hover(
function(){ $(this).animate({ left: 3 }, 'fast'); },
function(){ $(this).animate({ left: 0 }, 'fast'); }
);
$('footer a').hover(
function(){ $(this).animate({ top: 3 }, 'fast'); },
function(){ $(this).animate({ top: 0 }, 'fast'); }
);
});

In this code, there is a section of Countdown timer where you can see the value like 08*10*60*60*1000 when you solve multiplication you will get extracted value as 288000000 which is actually in milliseconds. The timer will countdown 288000000 milliseconds, you can change this value with your required one, but it is not synchronized with real time. Every refresh makes counter to count from the initial value it is just like manipulation until you publish your upcoming web.
